Have you ever wondered what the neighborhood was like back in the day? Are you intrigued by the stories from the Manor Flash? Well now is your chance to get your questions answered!

A walking tour with real former residents talking about how, where, and what things used to look like.

Highlights will include:

* The history of our neighborhood traditions such as where the first Christmas tree was located

* The location of the original Gladstone Manor Mansion and the homes that were built there

* How many former residents shaped the neighborhood to be the magnificent place it is today

Please join former residents from as far away as Massachusetts for this special neighborhood reunion.

Gladstone Manor Walking Tour

Saturday, July 20

6:00 p.m. walking tour begins at the Gladstone Train Station (intersection of Walsh and Madison)

7:30 p.m. we will end at the Island Parklette (intersection of Gladstone and DeForest) for light snacks and beverages

8:30 pm culminate the evening with a Christmas in July viewing of the tree lights

The former residents are starting the evening with a picnic in Hoffman Park and have invited interested neighbors to join them. An RSVP is needed for the picnic by July 12, please contact Melissa Englund if you are interested.
