The Greater Gladstone Civic Association Invites Gladstone Residents To Celebrate Independence Day
The Lansdowne Fourth of July Parade
Thursday, July 4, 2013
- Please join the Greater Gladstone Civic Association (GGCA) group in the Lansdowne Fourth of July parade on Thursday, July 4, 2013. Residents of all ages are welcome. Wear your red, white, and blue finest.
- The parade begins at 9:00 am. The GGCA will meet at 8:30 am with “Groups of Marchers” on East Greenwood Avenue between Highland and Wycombe Avenues; look for the Gladstone Manor banner. In addition to marching, volunteers are needed to toss candy with the GGCA during the parade.
A Picnic on the Island

- Please join the GGCA for an Independence Day picnic on Thursday, July 4, 2013, at 4:00 pm on the Island, at the intersection of Walsh and DeForest Roads.
- The GGCA will supply hot roast beef sandwiches, along with all the trimmings, and cold beverages.
- Please round out the meal by bringing a favorite side dish or dessert to share. Residents may wish to bring a lawn chair or a blanket as well.
- To help plan, R.S.V.P. by Friday, June 28, 2013 to the GGCA Events Committee.
- Volunteers are welcome for set up (3:30 pm) and clean up (6:30 pm).
