Water Ice Social

Water Ice Social

We are having our 2nd Annual Water Ice evening!! Meet at the Island on Aug. 4th from 7 to 8 pm. Please bring your own chair, sunscreen and bug spray.  Four different flavors will be featured this year.

Please pass the word on to any new neighbors that have moved in since last year. There will be a table to sign up for future email notifications and registration to the Greater Gladstone Association, and a box for donation towards the water ice. We usually ask $25.00 for registration for the year per family to cover the cost of Holiday Decorations for the Island, the electric bill for the lights and gardening supplies for the spring and fall. Any and all donations are acceptable. We are EXTREMELY grateful to those donors who have been able to keep us alive with their generous donations!

We are working on Greater Gladstone T Shirts, planning a Greater Gladstone History Night, and a fall clean up before Holiday decorations. Dawn still could use some help with weeds in the flower beds on our beautiful Island.  Come up anytime and just break the weeds that are strangling the plants. Not hard to miss them, there are many.

Party For Bob

Party For Bob

After over 19 years of being a resident in Gladstone Manor, Robert Bartmann, Bob to many in the neighborhood, is moving to New Jersey to be closer to his family.

Bob moved into his home in Gladstone Manor and over the years has helped with countless projects in the neighborhood and borough. From the neighborhood Santa to the landscape designer and artist, his influence is widespread. While we are happy for Bob to begin his next chapter, we would like to celebrate a true neighbor and friend before he leaves.

Join us for a party in Bob’s backyard and enjoy cake drinks and small treats. Please also feel free to share the invite with friends who know Bob.

Looking forward to seeing you at the party on:

Caroling Under the Lights – They’ve Moved Indoors

The Mansfield Brass, native to the Lansdowne, Gladstone Manor area, has been performing Christmas Carols in the Delaware County and surrounding areas for 23 years.  Collectively the group has over 200 years of musician experience.  We know how to play all the popular carols and will take requests to play your favorites — to the delight of adults and children alike!  Besides… it’s a lot of fun for an audience to listen to us and join in by singing the carols. WHEREVER we play, we draw a crowd!

We play the original Salvation Army arrangements of the classic Christmas Carols which have a unique and unusual harmony when played with the full instrumentation of the Brass Quintet for which they were written.  Our Mansfield Brass Carol Book also includes MANY NEW arrangements of popular and contemporary Carol classics.  Consisting of more than 160 arrangements, our play list also includes modern tunes like Snowmiser, I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus, Jingle Bell Rock, Santa Baby, Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer, You’re A Mean One Mr. Grinch and many, many, more.  It all adds up to a spirit-lifting, way to lift your spirit for the Holiday Season.

Check out our website at MansfieldBrass.com.

Come one, come all, take a break from the hustle and bustle of Christmas Shopping! Enjoy the sounds of the season!  Participate in creating a glorious noise.  Guaranteed to put everyone into the Holiday Spirit.
