Cinema Under the Stars

Join us tomorrow night, Tuesday, September 15, at 7 p.m., for our third outdoor movie night in our little island park! We’re showing two local documentaries, each about an hour long:

🎬 There Is a Town: Lansdowne
Explore Lansdowne’s history through photographs dating back to the 1880s and rare local footage from as early as the 1920s.


🎬 (More) Things That Aren’t There Anymore
Take a nostalgic trip through the Delaware Valley’s lost landmarks, favorite foods, and vanished places in this second installment of WHYY’s documentary series.


Bring your lawn chairs and settle in for a double feature with neighbors and friends. We’ll have free snacks and drinks, and everyone is welcome!


We’ve also upgraded our sound system so everyone can hear more clearly, and both films will have closed captions.

Water Ice Social

Join us on the island for this neighbor-favorite tradition on Thursday, July 16th between 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.:

  • Perfect summer evening weather and conversations with neighbors

Bazaar of All Nations Movie Screening

FREE Outdoor Movie Night at The Island Parklet, corner of DeForest & Walsh Roads, Lansdowne

Join us Saturday at 8:00 PM (rain date: Sunday, same time) for a free screening of Bazaar of All Nations, the fascinating Delco documentary exploring the legendary shopping destination that stood along Baltimore Pike from the 1960s through the 1990s.

Bring a chair or blanket and settle in for a fun community evening. Complimentary Bernie’s pretzels and iced tea will be available while supplies last.

We’re also excited to welcome the filmmakers, who will be in attendance for the event!
